About Us

Our Mission

Established in 2015, Broken Chains Awareness Development Group, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed out of the sincere concern for the future success of our communities. That future depends on the youth. Using education to empower the young men and women that will lead, work, and live, raising their families in an environment of growth and unity.

Our mission is to expose our future leaders to a renewed awareness of what freedom offers, using provisions to help them excel to their full potential. We the members of Broken Chains ADG, believe that education is the key to a successful future.

To quote Marian Wright Edelman; “Education remains one of our communities most enduring values. It is sustained by the belief that freedom and education go hand in hand. It is for improving the lives of others and leaving your community and world better than you found it.”

The events happening in our society today are evidence that the chains of bondage have wrapped around the minds of the youth of our community, robbing them of the awareness of who they are, their self-worth, and their overall value to the legacy of future generations to follow.

Broken Chains ADG utilizes Juneteenth as our platform for rebuilding, restructuring, remolding, and redeveloping the mind set of the youth of our inner city community. Our organization acknowledges the belief that the knowledge of the past is an important tool used in navigating the path, as you embark on the journey towards the future. We believe that education will rekindle a renewed awareness of what unity in our community can and will accomplish, with a focus on etiquette and character development.
